(Moseley Arms), Paul Cloosen (Irish Club), Gary McDonnell (Hennessey's) Minutes of previous meeting: read and approved. Matters arising: None Police Update:
No representatives from WMP attended due to other duties.
AB - Concerned about degree of activity from police when she reported
break-in next door. Said that it appears no record had been kept of her
phone call.
JT - Similar concerns about reported car theft only being given a crime
number after three phone calls. Adam Crossley's bicycles - Still missing! Utilities, Handymen etc: JT proposed a list of reliable workers be made so
that recommended handymen, builders, electricians, etc. might be used.
Any suggestions to be e-mailed to JT.
Comparison of Utility suppliers and insurance compamies might also be useful Website: AC is to finalise "Digbeth Live" website so that it is available to
all premises and WMP free of charge and easy to use. St Patrick's Day Parade debriefing:
JT to arrange meeting with someone from BCC (Events?) department. A.O.B:
- A number of members expressed concern about events which appear to be
associated with the Somalian Youth Club hosted in Digbeth. As well as the
window-breaking incident at The White Swan recently, there has been a man
beaten up in Cheapside and a young girl robbed outside The Moseley Arms. On
both occasions police were informed. It was felt that these events need to
be monitored and the organisers should be invited to a Pubwatch meeting.
- Sandra Hall gave outline of neighbourhood Highgate Park Open Day on
Saturday September 4th. Anyone wishing to help should contact Sandra. End of Meeting
